[COURSES AND SEMINARS] E. Wigner Course 2008 will be organised in September 2008

The E. Wigner Course on Reactor Physics Experiments 2008 will be organised as a 21 days course starting on 3 September 2008.

The main emphasis of the course is to perform reactor physics experiments to enhance reseach reactor safety on three different research- and training reactors in three different cites (Vienna, Prague and Budapest). The experimental work is preceded by theoretical lectures aiming to prepare the participants for the experiments (Bratislava), and giving an outlook to the nuclear safety issues as well. 

The language of the course is English.

This course is open to the following categories of persons:

 - Undergraduate, graduate and PhD students of any European university

 - Young professionals working in different European nuclear installations.

Basic knowledge of reactor physics theory is required.

The participants' work will be evaluated, and upon success the participants will get a certificate. If the participant is a graduate of PhD student of a European unviersity, she/he may get credits to acknowldge the successful completion of this course. 

The number of participants is limited to 10.
