Released on Tuesday 27 October 2009

The ENEN III 1st Project Management Committee (PMC) meeting was held in Saclay, France, on 26 October 2009 hosted by CEA/INSTN.
The ENEN III project is one of the projects on European Fission Training Schemes (EFTS) under the European Commission 7th Framework Programme (FP7), which was launched in May 2009. It covers the structuring, organisation, coordination and implementation of training schemes in cooperation with local, national and international training organisations, to provide training to professionals active in nuclear organisations or their contractors and subcontractors. The training schemes provide a portfolio of courses, training sessions, seminars and workshops for continuous learning, for upgrading knowledge and developing skills in Nuclear Engineering.
The PMC discussed the current situation of the ENEN III contracts, including the Grant Agreement with the European Commission, reviewed the actions decided at the Kick-Off meeting in May 2009, as well as discussed how to approach for the mutual recognition of training and vocational education and the European Training Passport. As background information, the National Skills Academy in UK and the European Credit (Transfer) System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) were introduced.
